When using the LinguaFlow app and website, the following data may be collected:
- Name, email address, and account information
- Usage data (language settings, learning progress)
- Payment and subscription data
- Device information and technical log data
2. Purpose of Data Processing
- Provision and improvement of the app and website
- Processing of subscriptions and in-app purchases
- Error analysis and optimization of the app
- Compliance with legal obligations
- Communication regarding support and feedback requests
- Voluntary feedback within the app (responses to short surveys and optional free-text comments): We store this information without linking it to your account—without your name or email address. Survey responses are also incorporated anonymously into usage statistics (TelemetryDeck).
3. Third-Party Services (Recipients of Your Data)
We use the following services. The data they receive depends on the specific feature used:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, App Check, Crashlytics): Login, account data, usage quotas, crash and diagnostic data. Our own server runs on this platform.
- Google Play Billing & Apple In-App Purchase: Processing of subscriptions. Payment data remains with Google or Apple.
- RevenueCat: Management of subscription status (user ID, purchase history, device ID).
- Anthropic (Claude): Word-for-word decoding of entered, scanned, or dictated text, as well as AI dialogue. Only the text is transmitted; no account data is shared.
- OpenAI: AI practice texts, text recognition for scanned pages in non-Latin scripts (photos are processed only for recognition and are not stored), and text-to-speech in AI dialog.
- ElevenLabs: Reading texts aloud (text-to-speech).
- DeepL and Google Cloud Translation: Translation of sentences and words.
- TelemetryDeck: Anonymized usage statistics (app interactions, app version, device type). No email address, no text.
- MailerLite: Newsletters, only after explicit consent (double opt-in).
- Google Workspace (Gmail): Sending emails, e.g., reminders before the end of the trial period, only with consent.
- The website’s web hosting provider.
Voice recordings made using the dictation feature are converted to text by your operating system’s speech recognition software (Apple or Google); only the recognized text is sent to our servers and the services listed above.
For providers outside the EU, data protection is ensured by the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
